CHLA is a sponsoring institution of graduation medical education as accredited by the ACGME. We offer pediatric residencies, child neurology residencies and clinical fellowships, and diversity is a priority for our program.
Pediatric Residency
We strive to train leaders in child and adolescent health with a focus on promoting health equity and caring for the underserved. Our physicians are faculty at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Child Neurology Residency
Our accredited categorical residency provides a dynamic and energetic environment for training future child neurologists. Residents work with our team of 20 child neurologists and collaborate with numerous areas in the hospital.

Continuing Medical Education Department

Global Health Track
Part of our Pediatric Residency Program, the Global Health Track offers a unique opportunity to work on the front lines of global pediatric care. The program has established local and international partnerships to meet resident needs and interests.

The George Donnell Society for Pediatric Scientists
The George Donnell Society for Pediatric Scientists includes residents, fellows and faculty who are interested in performing pediatric research. It provides mentorship, infrastructure and a community for pediatric scientists in training.
Samuels Family Latino and African American High School Internship Program (LA-HIP)
The Samuels Family LA-HIP provides students who identify as underrepresented minorities in medicine and science with the opportunity to learn hands-on laboratory-based research and supports them in pursuing careers in science.
K12 Research Training
This physician-scientist career development program provides two years of initial funding, as well as extensive individual, research, career and faculty development mentoring from established NIH funded faculty.
