Children's Hospital Los Angeles created a website that provides you with a way to manage your health information in one secure and convenient location. Log in at home or on-the-go to:

  • Send secure messages to your providers' offices
  • Request, view or cancel appointments
  • View lab results
  • View allergies 
  • View and request updates to demographic information
  • Request a prescription renewal
  • Print and/or view immunization records
  • View hospital discharge instructions and outpatient clinic visit summaries

Get an Account

Because your privacy is important to us, we require in-person identity verification to set up an account for the first time.

Once we have verified your identity, you should receive an email invitation from the system inviting you to set up a myKIDS account. Setting up your account is easy and will only take a few minutes.

To keep your account secure, myKIDS is managed through secure verification questions, user identification information and passwords.

Health Information Management

Currently there are age restrictions for online access to myKIDS. However, you are always free to obtain printed copies of medical records and images by contacting our Health Information Management department.

The myKIDS system is a secure, easy-to-use website that lets you see key information in your medical record. You can access myKIDS by logging in with your username and password.

Please be advised that myKIDS is intended for use only in non-emergency situations. If you believe that you or your child is having an emergency, dial 911.

  • Parents or guardians with children under the age of 12
    New registrations will only be offered in cases where patients are between 0 and 11 years of age.
  • Patients who are age 18 or older
    For parents of patients with diminished capacity, please present appropriate legal documentation, such as Power of Attorney or Health Directive, to our Health Information Management department.

No. The website is a free service offered by Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

To sign up, talk to your clincians during your next visit to one of our locations. An email address is required to complete the registration process and an invitation will be sent to you. Once you have received the invitation email, follow the instructions for creating an account. The verification process includes entering the patient's date of birth and answering the security question selected during registration.

For issues with logging in, retrieving passwords, or other technical difficulties with myKIDS, please contact Cerner Customer Support at (877) 621-8014.

For questions about any health information displayed in myKIDS, please contact our myKIDS team at (888-646-6774) during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

When your child turns 12, access to myKIDS for parents and patients will terminate to comply with state and federal laws recognizing additional medical privacy rights for adolescents. 

The myKIDS system is designed for patients, parents, guardians and foster parents. Patients will be able to download and share clinical documents with primary care physicians. Primary care physicians will not be able to access myKIDS directly.

It usually takes  four business days to access lab results on myKIDS.

The site will provide a range for normal results. Please be aware that the normal ranges for various tests may not apply to patients with certain conditions.

This site is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure conditions. It should not replace communication with your medical providers.

This site will not contain the entire medical record. It is designed to represent a snapshot of the most useful information in your medical record.

A complete set of medical records can be obtained by visiting our Health Information Management department.

If you are requesting a prescription renewal, you can do so on myKIDS. If you are requesting to refill an existing prescription, please contact the pharmacy where it was last filled.

Yes. You may share your proxy account access with a parent, caregiver or foster parent or spouse.

If you can no longer access your account, your proxy access period may have ended. If you are the parent of a child who has recently turned twelve years of age, your access will be terminated and the patient may use myKIDS on or after reaching age 18.

In the interim, you may gain access to health record information from our Health Information Management Department .
