Physical therapists (PT) are health care professionals who provide care to individuals to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function throughout life.
Physical therapists evaluate and diagnose movement dysfunction by assessing each individual and developing a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
Our physical therapists evaluate and treat children from the ages of 0-21 in the acute, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
Physical therapists promote holistic and family-centered care through interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration with family members, caregivers, educators and medical professionals.
Intervention is optimized by assessing each child and family’s circumstances to determine individual needs.
Physical therapy maximizes their potential for function to allow for participation in activities meaningful to the child and family, while minimizing the effect of developmental disabilities, injuries, or disease.
