Children's Hospital Los Angeles has two hepa-filtered inpatient units for hematology, oncology and BMT. The units are located on 4 East and 4 West, with 62 inpatient beds in total in the Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion, 14 of which are in the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Unit. They are collectively comprised of approximately 85 percent oncology patients and 15 percent hematology patients.

The units treat children who need:

Eighty-five percent of the rooms are single rooms, and each room features a daybed allowing one parent to stay in the room with their child. All rooms have Internet connectivity and access to a library of entertainment and educational media.
