Dr. Agurs joins the Division of Neurology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a specialist in the treatment of pediatric epilepsy. 

She previously was the Associate Program Director of the Child Neurology Residency Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center associated with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Agurs received her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric and neurology training within the military system at the San Antonio Military Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. 

She served as a fellow in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy for two years at Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Agurs specializes in the treatment of children with epilepsy, including surgical treatment options.
