GROW - Gateway to Reaching Optimal Wellness Through nutrition
Welcome to CHLA’s 13th annual Pediatric Nutrition Conference, GROW, A Virtual Experience, hosted by the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Lactation.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Hot Topics in Pediatric Nutrition” to provide opportunity for registered dietitians to advance their knowledge on a broad range of areas in pediatric nutrition. This year’s presentations will include Eating Disorders, CF, NPFE, and more!
We are also excited to announce we will have breaks during the day for yoga, with fun prize giveaways at the conclusion of the day! We look forward to your attendance and seeing you online!
As conference organizers we are guided by the following principles:
- We strive to center the experiences of children with special healthcare needs.
- We believe in the capacity and autonomy of children and families, and that they are integral to the healthcare team.
- We strive towards health equity as foundational to caring for patients and families.
- We are committed to improving care by elevating evidence-based and community-informed expertise and wisdom for the professional community (advancing the field).
- We strive to foster interdisciplinary and interprofessional practice.
- We practice cultural humility by active self-reflection and awareness of implicit bias and encourage this approach with all our speakers and participants.
