Nelson Head, MHS, PA-C

I am a nationally certified physician assistant. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Texas Christian University and then earned my Master of Health Science -- Physician Associate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. I am certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

I have always desired to work with children and developed a special interest in hematology/oncology during my PA training at OU Children’s Hospital. I especially love the collaborative effort of the specialty and the strong bond made with patients and their families. Prior to transitioning to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2023, I practiced in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Children’s Hospital Colorado. I also previously served as a clinical preceptor for the University of Colorado PA program.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors (especially at the beach), swimming, traveling, and surrounding myself with friends and family.
