Natalie Hale, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CPHON
My journey into medicine stems from a personal commitment to impact lives positively. Working with young patients facing cancer, particularly in pediatric oncology, blends my professional aspirations with a deep passion for making a difference.
My decision to focus on pediatric oncology was fueled by early experiences in nursing, witnessing the resilience of children battling life-threatening illnesses. Joining CHLA has allowed me to merge clinical expertise with a heartfelt dedication to children facing life's toughest battles.
Why pediatric oncology? The answer lies in the unique spirit children bring to the healing process. Despite challenges, their energy and spunk infuse hope into the often somber environment of a cancer treatment facility. The joy of being a care provider in this field is found in small victories, witnessing courage in adversity, and building meaningful connections with patients and their families.
The role involves more than addressing medical needs; it requires providing emotional support, fostering hope, and being a pillar of strength for families navigating childhood cancer. The multidisciplinary approach and collaboration within the pediatric oncology team contribute to improved outcomes and a sense of community.
