MaKensie Johnson, MSN, APRN, PPCNP-BC, CPON

I have been working in pediatric oncology since 2006. I graduated from Saint Louis University with my BSN and started my career as a bedside RN in Louisville, KY. I later went on to obtain my MSN from Northern Kentucky University and relocated to Los Angeles. I enjoy teaching and am an Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course instructor, a California Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing review course instructor, and have completed many lectures and in-services for nursing staff at CHLA. I love working in the inpatient oncology setting because of the challenge of caring for patients with varying diagnoses and levels of acuity.
