Karishma Patel, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC, CPHON
As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatric oncology, I have the privilege of working with my heroes every day: children battling cancer. My journey into medicine began with an inspiration from the book "A Rose for Melinda" by Lurlene McDaniel, which sparked my passion for helping children fight cancer. I knew I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to make a difference for these brave young patients and their families.
In my role as a Nurse Practitioner, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to my patients undergoing chemotherapy and managing their side effects in the inpatient setting. I enjoy supporting them throughout their journey and to be a part of their healthcare team.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with my loved ones. I am also passionate about supporting the professional development of healthcare professionals.
I am honored to be a part of the healthcare field and to have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children facing cancer. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and make a difference in the years to come!
