Jacqueline Donahue, PsyD
Dr. Donahue is a licensed psychologist, with postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship at Dell Children’s Medical Center where she provided therapy, consultations, and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and families who were experiencing chronic and life-threatening medical conditions. Dr. Donahue also completed a year of her pre-doctoral training at CHLA, where she assisted in performing neuropsychological assessments for patients referred through the neurology and orthopedic departments.
Dr. Donahue is trained in evidenced-based therapeutic approaches and takes into account the relationship between biological/medical, social, psychological, and cultural factors when providing services. At CHLA, she provides ongoing therapy services to patients within the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) and provides in-clinic consultations and brief interventions in the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (HTC).
Dr. Donahue’s clinical interests include providing interventions to assist with coping with medical illness, medication adherence, addressing medical trauma, behavioral management strategies, and grief and loss.
