Emily Sousa, PhD, APRN, PPCNP-BC, CDCES, DiplACLM
I started out my professional life as a middle school math teacher, and then became a public health scientist on my way to nursing school. As a nurse, I've run a free clinic's phlebotomy lab, triaged for a pediatric private practice, served as an urban public health nurse, partnered with families living with diabetes as an educator and case manager, and have worked as a nurse practitioner in diabetes and obesity since 2017. I joined Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2021.
It is an honor to work here as a clinician, educator, and scientist, as part of a team partnering with patients and families toward health.
