Elysia Soria, PsyD

Pediatric Pain Psychologist

Dr. Elysia Soria (she/her) is a first-generation scholar, earning her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. She has trained at various academic health centers and children's hospitals in the Midwest and West, including at the University of Chicago, Cleveland Clinic Children's, and Stanford University. Dr. Soria is passionate about equitable, culturally-informed care, and appreciates the unique pain journey that many of her patients and families have experienced before arriving to CHLA. She works to incorporate individual and collective differences in her evidence-based treatment of acute and chronic pain.

Dr. Soria provides treatment and care to patients and families both in the inpatient and outpatient setting at CHLA. Inpatient care includes supporting patients and families during their hospital admission for acute pain management, as well as in the inpatient pain rehabilitation program. Outpatient care is provided in the Pain Medicine Clinic, and includes psychological assessments, acute behavioral medicine interventions, and brief pain-focused treatment (pain-focused therapy).
