Objective:
- Highlight national data on women’s careers in academic medicine and factors affecting successful career progress, including history, national data and models to support women’s careers
- Discuss career flexibility and its role in facilitating career progress including defining flexibility, providing policy examples, and findings from UC Davis’ NIH-funded grant
- Address pitfalls and barriers to flexibility and career success
- Describe approaches to change to help grow a culture of flexibility that supports the careers of all
