Grand Rounds 2017: “Spinal Muscular Atrophy: Overview and New Treatments”
At the end of this CME activity participants should be able to:

Discuss the diagnosis of and typing of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)

Recall mechanisms of new gene therapies such as nusinersen, now used in the treatment of SMA

Have an increased awareness of the CHLA Neuromuscular Program and treatment of patients with SMA in our hospital including domestic, international, CCS, and HMP/PPO populations.
