Adolescent Postoperative Longitudinal Study (APOLO)
The aim is to find out how overall health and wellness is related to need for pain medication after surgery.

Eligibility
Children ages 13-20 and one of their parents. Child must be scheduled to undergo one of the 8 following surgeries: posterior spinal fusion, pectus excavtum repair, pectus carinatum repair, hip reconstruction, bowel resection or ostomy for inflammatory bowel disease, arthroscopy, pilonidal excision, or tonsillectomy.
