Gina Flores, MSN, CPNP-PC
I'm a board-certified PNP with the Department of Pediatric Surgery/Trauma at CHLA. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA, in 2004. Starting my career at CHLA, I completed the Versant residency program. I furthered my education, graduating with my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) specializing in Pediatrics in 2007.
Since 2008, I've been practicing as a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with the Pediatric Surgery and Trauma team, providing acute care to pediatric surgical and trauma patients. My role involves educating nursing staff, residents, and families on managing pediatric surgery and trauma cases.
I have a strong passion for Pediatric Surgery and trauma care. In recognition of my dedication, I was honored to receive CHLA’s Institute for Nursing and Interprofessional Research $20,000 research grant in 2020 for my program on Pediatric Antibiotic Adherence After Perforated Appendicitis.
I find great fulfillment in serving the pediatric population at CHLA, conducting research, and collaborating as a valued member of the Pediatric Surgery/Trauma team.
