Access and Transfer Center

Hospitals may contact this center to transfer a pediatric patient to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for inpatient care. This center has access to transport vehicles that can be used to transfer children between hospitals.

Acute Pain Program

Inpatients suffering from pain have access to this program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Staff prevent avoidable pain and discomfort for children, even if they are not able their pain levels.

Acute Rehabilitation

The hospital is home to a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation program to rebuild the functional capacity of children recovering from conditions that include brain injuries, seizures, spinal conditions, tumors, rheumatologic and more.

At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, we prepare young adults with chronic illness or disability for a successful transition to adult providers. Many divisions have programs tailored to the specific young adults they serve.
