Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is ranked sixth in the nation for orthopaedic care on the U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospitals List. As the core component of the Children's Orthopaedic Center, our division provides one of the nation’s most comprehensive programs dedicated to treating injuries and abnormalities of the arms, legs and spine in children.

The center provides a multispecialty team of orthopaedic surgeons, orthopaedic nurses, physician assistants, oncologists, rehabilitation experts, prosthetists, physical therapists and biomedical engineers that come together to treat kids better. Parents also are closely involved in our approach to treatment.

ABOUT THE CENTER

We provide care in more than 18,000 outpatient visits and more than 1,600 operative procedures in the areas of fracture care, sports medicine, spine disorders, pediatric oncology, joint care and cerebral palsy, among others. These include one of the largest number of pediatric spinal deformity cases in the country and this region's highest number of pediatric bone tumor and congenital hand deformities.

CLINICAL SETTINGS

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery provides care in its outpatient clinic, in the Burtie Green Bettingen Surgery Center, and in the state-of-the-art John C. Wilson, Jr. Motion Analysis Laboratory.

OUR STAFF

Our faculty is comprised of nationally and internationally recognized pediatric orthopaedists, all fellowship-trained and Board-certified members of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. They are joined by pediatric nurses, dedicated operating room staff, pediatric physical and occupational therapists, rehabilitation specialists, prosthetists and biomechanical engineers.
