Our doctors use an interdisciplinary approach to care for children with blood disorders and work continually to make advances in treating blood diseases. Our team of doctors, nurses, social workers and other caregivers offer patients and their families special expertise, counseling and education in health maintenance, nutrition and pain management. The Hematology team is exclusively focused on genetic and acquired blood disorders. Team members have focused expertise in coagulation, thrombosis, hemoglobinopathies, white cell disorders, and bone marrow failure, and have substantial clinical experience in a number of very rare disorders. We also are involved in pursuing groundbreaking research to find new treatments for blood disorders and, someday, a cure.
