Cheryl Saban, PhD, is a member of the Board of Trustees and serves on The Saban Research Institute Committee. She had the unique opportunity of seeing Children's Hospital “at work” when she completed an externship at the Center of Cancer and Blood Diseases to fulfill her doctorate requirements. Dr. Saban is an author, philanthropist and child advocate.

Haim Saban is the chairman and CEO of the private investment firm Saban Capital Group, Inc. He was the former co-owner and CEO of Fox Family Worldwide, Inc., and founder of Saban Entertainment. Mr. Saban is a regent of the University of California, a member of the Brookings Institute and a leading philanthropist.

Dr. and Mr. Saban are longtime supporters of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. In 2003, they named The Saban Research Institute with a generous gift of $40 million. They, together with Marion and John E. Anderson, have funded a $10 million bridge to provide a protected walkway across Sunset Boulevard to unite the research institute and the hospital portions of the campus.
