Cerebrovascular Impact of Acquired Anemias

The objective of this study is to learn how anemia may affect oxygen delivery to the brain as measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). By studying this, we hope to better identify people who may benefit from correction of their anemia.

Eligibility
Males and females between 16 and 60 years old, have moderate to severe anemia (hemoglobin less than or equal to 10.5g/dl; or hematocrit less than 32%), and are able to undergo MRI scan for about 1.5 hours without needing sedation
