Dr. Vijay Vishwanath is an attending child neurologist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He is board certified in child neurology as well as epilepsy. He has a clinical and academic interest in neurocutaneous disorders including neurofibromatosis and tuberous sclerosis. He has experience caring for children with tic disorders such as Tourette syndrome and was the director of the Albany Medical Center Tic Disorder Clinic before he moved to CHLA. He also treats a wide range of pediatric epilepsy patients ranging from those with febrile seizures to intractable epilepsy syndromes and has experience working with newer anti-seizure medications as well as vagal nerve stimulators.
