Care Provided

Our Airway Center treats more complex airway problems than any other center for children. A few examples of the types of conditions we treat include:

  • Combined upper obstructive sleep apnea
  • Evaluation of stridor
  • Subglottic stenosis
  • Tracheal stenosis
If your child has an airway disorder, it could be that your child will need to see a variety of specialists to obtain all of the care needed to resolve the issue.

Our hospital's Airway Center is a comprehensive center for managing Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) conditions that partners with each of the Divisions at our hospital appropriate for caring for children with airway disorders.

Coordination of Care

We tailor your health care experience so that you can get as much as possible accomplished with each visit. This includes lining up the appropriate specialists from the diverse areas of our hospital that could assist with your child's diagnosis. In addition, we have a sleep study center on site, so should your child's disorder benefit from a sleep study, we can assist with this.

Our goal is to provide coordinated care that will be more efficient and convenient for you than if you had to find separate specialists for your child on your own.

Team Members

The Center is managed by physicians from our Division of Otolaryngology.

This Division coordinates with each of the other units in our hospital so that the specialists your child needs are able to assist in diagnosis and treatment, including:

  • Allergists
  • Gastroenterologists
  • Immunologists
  • Pediatric surgeons
  • Plastic and reconstructive surgeons
  • Pulmonologists
  • Thoracic surgeons

Quarterly Conferences

The Division of Otolaryngology holds quarterly conferences on airway problems where a multidisciplinary team presents cases for discussion and learning.
