The Division of Hematology - Oncology provides a full range of clinical services for infants, children and adolescents with cancer and blood diseases. We care for more than 1,100 new patients each year and handle approximately 25,000 outpatient visits annually. Our Division is the largest of its kind in the western United States, serving as the leading referral center in the region.
Our doctors play a central role in the hospital's Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, and consistently appear on the Best Doctors in America® and Pasadena Magazine "Top Docs" lists. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is ranked sixth in the nation for cancer care on the U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospitals List.
We know that the healing and treatment process can be difficult for children. Through the Hope Program, our doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists work together to provide compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based care. The inpatient Hematology - Oncology unit also offers hepa-filtered rooms, which are private and spacious, allowing parents to sleep over.
