Technology Commercialization

The Office of Technology Commercialization plays an instrumental role in facilitating the translation of discoveries into improved clinical care for children and is responsible for advancing discoveries from the bench to the bedside. The OTC protects CHLA innovations through patents; assists in further development of technologies through research partnerships; delivers products to the market through licensing and the creation of start-up companies. CHLA researchers and clinicians are encouraged to collaborate and share the results of their work with other institutions and companies  through the use of confidentiality agreements and material transfer agreements. From therapeutics and diagnostics to medical devices and research tools, learn about the technologies under management that are available for licensing or seeking investment.
