Diabetes Support Group
The center holds Diabetes Support Group meetings for patients and parents. Groups meet and discuss a range of interesting topics covering Diabetes Management and Diabetes Education. Family members can benefit from sharing experiences and learning from other families. Due to our limited resources, we can only accept patients and families that are under our care in the Endocrine Clinic.
Currently, our Support Group Locations are only located in Pasadena only at this time.
Teen Power Support Group
Teen Power is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary intervention, which was developed in 2006 by Lynda K. Fisher, MD, Cynthia E. Muñoz, PhD, MPH, Janet Lee Wilson, LCSW and Jennifer Eide, PhD. Teen Power offers psychoeducational and skills-based groups for adolescents with insulin-treated diabetes. Groups are also available for the teens’ caregivers and siblings. Caregiver meetings are conducted in English and Spanish.
