Research Opportunities for Fellows
We offer experience in basic, translational or clinical research, which is innovative and cutting edge, along with a robust program of Health Outcomes and Community Health Research. Each division provides a milieu for research productivity, enhanced by the presence of The Saban Research Institute, the highly regarded free-standing research laboratory on the hospital's campus. An active General Clinical Research Center located within the hospital offers support for the conduct of clinical studies.
The mission of the Saban Research Institute of Children's Hospital Los Angeles is to foster an environment of scientific excellence where biomedical research will lead to discoveries involving the molecular and clinical understanding of childhood development and the implementation of procedures to diagnose, treat, and prevent pediatric diseases and promote child health.
The Saban Research Institute has six established programs of priority in Cancer, Cardiovascular Research, Developmental Biology, Gene, Immune and Stem Cell Therapy (GISCT), Community, Health Outcomes, and Intervention Research (CHOIR), and Neuroscience .
In addition to three scientific initiatives exist in Imaging Research, Bone and Body Composition Research, and Microbial Pathogens.
