Jamie Harrington, MD
Jamie K. Harrington, MD, MHS, joined the Heart Institute in October 2022, arriving from Columbia University Irving Medical Center/Children’s Hospital of New York, where she was on the faculty of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Harrington received her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine and completed both her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Columbia. She completed an advanced fellowship in noninvasive cardiac imaging at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
At CHLA, Dr. Harrington is an attending cardiologist with expertise in transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography, as well as cardiac MRI and CT. She also cares for children with congenital and acquired heart disease in the inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Her research focuses on advanced functional assessment and evaluation of myocardial mechanics, using tools such as deformation imaging with speckle-tracking echocardiography and feature-tracking MRI. She also serves as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
