Research Compliance provides comprehensive guidance to the research community and oversight throughout Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to ensure the responsible conduct of research. This includes the development of training and education; auditing and monitoring; and the distribution of policies, procedures and standards of conduct that promote adherence to applicable laws, regulations and institutional policies.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles reviews and manages conflicts of interest (COI) to protect the integrity of our research and ensure participants make an informed decision prior to joining research.
Research requirements for disclosing external interests and COI management
Researchers and individuals responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of research—or those serving on institutional research review committees—are required to do the following:
Public requests for information regarding significant financial interests of key or senior research investigators on projects funded by the Public Health Service or the National Institutes of Health determined to be financial conflicts of interest can be made by submitting a request to compliance@chla.usc.edu or by calling 323-361-2302.
