Grand Rounds 2018: “Spiritual Concerns in the Care of Children at the End-of Life: Evidence and Clinical Implications”

At the end of this CME activity participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the role of religion and/or spirituality in parents’ decision-making for care of a child with advanced illness

  2. Recall the role of the hospital chaplain in helping families with decision-making about their child’s care and in fostering communication about treatment decisions between parents and the health care team

  3. Describe areas of future research about the role of religion and/or spirituality and spiritual care in helping families cope with illness, hospitalization and the death of a child
