Food Allergy Parent Workshop

We are delighted to announce CHLA’s second biannual Food Allergy Parent Workshop, hosted by the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy and the Gores Family Allergy Center. All workshops and lectures are free for registered participants. Availability is limited so please RSVP.

Ask the Allergist 

Led by: Dr. Jonathan Tam, Director, Gores Family Allergy Center 
Dr. Tam will be available for your questions during this informal session. 

Why are Allergies Increasing? 

Led by: Dr. Melinda Braskett, Associate Director, Gores Family Allergy Center 
Dr. Braskett will discuss the Hygiene Hypothesis and the findings of the LEAP study. 

Tuning up your Epinephrine Skills 

Led by: Sarah Herr, Nurse Coordinator, Gores Family Allergy Center 
Hands-on workshop to practice and perfect your Epi-pen skills with all three versions on the market - to fine tune your technique and confidence to administer epinephrine. 

Growth: Too Much, Too Little, or Right in the Middle? 

Led by: Jill Madison, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Gores Family Allergy Center 
A look at childhood growth patterns and nutritional strategies to optimize proportionality.
