Faculty Development Series: What to do when numbers don’t tell the whole story: An introduction to qualitative research

Workshop Synopsis:

This workshop will discuss the ways to conduct qualitative research to improve your data analysis.   

Objectives:

Learn how to identify research questions appropriate for qualitative inquiry and select from diverse qualitative approaches

Determine efficient ways to collect, organize, and analyze qualitative data

Participate in a practice and feedback session for conducting qualitative research interviews and a guided exercise in qualitative data analysis

Target Audience:

All faculty members, clinicians, and postdoctoral trainees involved in biomedical research (basic, translational, and clinical).
