Addressing Rigor, Transparency and Reproducibility in Research

Workshop Synopsis

During this workshop, panelists will engage the audience in discussing new standards established by funding agencies, journal editors, institutional review boards and other organizations to ensure that research proposals and publications meet the highest standards regarding Rigor, Transparency and Reproducibility in scientific work including clinical trials. The workshop should be of interest to trainees as well as faculty members at all levels engaged in basic, translational or clinical research. 

Objective

The primary audience will be post-doctoral trainees and faculty members involved in biomedical (basic, translational and clinical) research. The objective of this workshop is to make the participants better aware of new policies from journal editors and funding agencies in regard to scientific rigor.
