Biology is Beautiful

This week, the Federation of Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) announced their 2014 BioArt winners. Among the winners were captivating still and video images that depicted fungal-host interactions, bone development and healing, mapping neurons in the retina, cell communication in cancer, and lung disease and development.

The “Voyage Through the Lung” video featured above was also one of the winners. It was developed by researchers from the Translational Biomedical Imaging Laboratory (TBIL) at The Saban Research Institute. (Does the video look familiar? Check out the original post from June.)

Descriptions of all the projects and the images and videos themselves are available on the FASEB website and winners will be exhibited at the NIH.

Congrats everyone!
