Our beautiful daughter, Violet, was born on March 26, 2012. She was my perfect baby girl, even with the plethora of health conditions she was later diagnosed with having. The day after she was born, the doctors did their “rounds” and noticed she had a heart murmur. They ordered an echocardiographer (ECHO). The following day, the cardiologist went over the results with us and everything changed from there on. Violet had a condition called Coarctation of the aorta, a narrowing part of the aorta. She was rushed to Kaiser Hospital on Sunset Boulevard and then later transported to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for her heart surgery. She was eight days old.

We got to take her home almost one month after she was born. It was the hardest time of our lives, but Children’s Hospital Los Angeles was the best, and we are grateful everyday for all the doctors and nurses that took care of our baby girl. She is now a happy eight-month-old! Mommy, daddy and her big brother Noah love her to pieces.
