joint-commission.pngCHLA team members are sharing their pride today after learning that CHLA has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission for the care we provide for our asthma patients.

The Joint Commission is revered in the health care industry for setting the highest standards and continuously prompting health care organizations to raise their performance to match evidence-based practices.

While our asthma program is one of our more than 350 pediatric programs and services developed to support the care of children, it has clearly defined national benchmarks for care—particularly when it comes to ensuring that families know what to do to support asthma care once they return home following a hospital stay.

But this award is unique in that it is based solely on pure data connected to success in delivering evidence-based care and it is bestowed by an institution that is deeply revered in our industry.
