In April, David Davis, MSN, RN was diagnosed with stage I colon cancer and underwent surgery to have part of his colon removed.
Now about halfway through his chemotherapy and back at work, he continues to mentor young nurses—proving that illness hasn’t stopped him from empowering others.

Low Cost Therapy for Meningitis
In the United States, meningitis from E. coli infections primarily occurs in newborn infants. Premature and low birth weight babies are at four times greater risk for developing the disease.

Meet Manny: First Patient Moved to the New Building
Manny, a 10-year-old patient at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, was the first to make the move to the Anderson Pavilion. His dad, Manny Jr. put his heart, sweat and tears into the new building as a member of our construction crew for four years.
