About Center for Young Women

The Center for Young Women was created in 2010 by the Division of Adolescent Medicine in response to the need for training, research, services and advocacy for young women and girls.

Young Women Working Together Leadership Institute: Young women from a wide variety of backgrounds who give feedback to the Center for Young Women on its services and programs.

Community Council: An advisory group of health care professionals and public relations professionals that help develop and put into practice its programs and services.

Staff: Sue LaVaccare, MA, director, has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and women in health research and health promotion.
