GetWellNetwork

Inside GetWell:)Town

GetWell:)Town's main screen cycles through various background "day" and "night" images.

GetWellNetwork Night
The GetWellNetwork is an exciting technology offered to children who receive inpatient care in our Marion & John E. Anderson Pavilion.

This interactive bedside system is designed to help ease the recovery process for children and families while engaging and empowering parents, kids and teens while they are receiving care at our hospital.

For Our Patients

Patients can use a touch-screen television at their bedside to:

  • play games
  • learn about health topics
  • find educational resources about their diagnosis
  • access information about our hospital.

GetWell Town

Each of our patients is provided with quick access to all of the services of the GetWellNetwork through a customized GetWell:)Town where they can access their medical and prescription information.

The 'Welcome Screen' of the GetWell Town is colorful, animated, inviting and easy to use and patients are introduced to Moti, a helpful young person who helps patients increase their comfort level with the hospital and provides them with an orientation to their care and what the system has to offer.

Videos on Helpful Health Education Topics

The system is stocked with over 160 videos in Spanish and English that offer patients and their families educational information, with topics ranging from asthma and diabetes to common hospital tests and post-procedural care.

When our health care providers “order” a set of education, through the GetWellNetwork, for a patient and their family members, the information is tied directly to our patients' medical records.  This helps encourage parents and health professionals to discuss health topics further and empowers parents to ask additional questions.

Controls for Parents

The GetWellNetwork allows parents to continue to monitor movies, games and health materials accessible to their child, much like they would at home.

Parents are offered an area to provide feedback to staff about their needs while they are receiving care, as well as overall feedback about their experience at the hospital.
