The LA-HIP Program is entirely funded by grants and donations.
With your support for LA-HIP programs and development, you can help guide a student down a successful career path in research, science and/or health care – that otherwise may not be available to them.
Through continued support from our donors, mentors, counselors and staff, we are proud to help make a difference in the lives of our interns through scientific and academic success.
Projects for Funding
The LA-HIP Internship Training: Funding will provide high school students the opportunity to participate in a six week college preparatory program in a laboratory setting at the Saban Research Institute.
Professional Science Teacher Development Program: Funding will provide didactic and hands-on training of slected high school teachers.
Post Baccalaureate Research Training Program: Funding will provide research training, in addition to graduate course work, to strengthen the student's application to have a competitive advantage for graduate or medical school. This scholarship will be awarded to LA-HIP alumni who have graduated from college and have an interest in pursuing graduate education.
