The Center for Young Women in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles works in partnership with young women, ages 12 to 25,  to foster the physical, mental and social well-being of girls and young women through leadership development, research, healthcare provider training,capacity-building assistance to community partners, gender responsive health services, policy and advocacy.  

WHAT WE DO

PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG WOMEN

Workshops for Young Women: The Center conducts health education workshops for young women on a wide variety of health topics.

Young Women Working Together Leadership Institute: Young women from a wide variety of backgrounds, ages 15 to 21,  who give feedback to the Center for Young Women. The young women learn health advocacy and leadership skills during a 6 month program. If you are a young woman or know of a young women who may be interested in the YWWT, please contact our office.
