Pediatric Trauma and Access to Care Summit

 

Trauma is the most common affliction in the pediatric population, yet trauma care for this vulnerable group varies by region throughout the country. Pediatric Trauma Centers are designed to maximize available resources for the care of critically injured pediatric trauma victims. The Trauma Programs at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the University of California, Davis, and the California Emergency Medical Services Authority are coordinating a Pediatric Consensus Group to examine and develop recommendations to: 

  • Access to care
  • Triage
  • Transfer
  • Performance Improvement
