Research In Progress
- Epidemiology of optic nerve hypoplasia
- Clinical risk factors of optic nerve hypoplasia
A study headed by Mark S. Borchert, MD is designed to provide preliminary data about the factors involved in formation of ONH prior to birth. This study may improve physicians’ ability to provide earlier identification and treatment of ONH. In addition, a greater understanding of prenatal risk factors may allow physicians to prevent this disease in the future. For more information or to partake in the study, click here.
