Kyphosis
What is Kyphosis?
Kyphosis is an abnormal curve of the spine forward or hunch back deformity. This deformity can occur alone or with scoliosis (an abnormal curve of the spine from side to side). Kyphosis is corrected using the same procedure as for scoliosis – posterior spinal fusion with segmental instrumentation and allograft. Please see below for an example patient.
