Packets may be submitted by mail, fax or email, or dropped off at Guest Services.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles offers a Summer Junior Volunteer Program for applicants ages 15-17. Junior volunteers provide service to patients, families and staff, while gaining experience and self-confidence.

Volunteer opportunities do not include job shadowing, direct patient care or internship-like experiences. Duties may include: mobile play cart, family and visitor escort, way-finding and administrative support.

Program Requirements

In order to be considered for participation in the Summer Junior Volunteer Program, junior volunteers must complete the application packet fully and be able to volunteer:

Three times per week
At least three hours per day (in solid blocks of time)
From June 25 - August 10

Please note there are no expections to the above requirements. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Additional Information

Because of the many applications we receive, acceptance into our program is very competitive and will be based on a first come, first serve basis. We regret that we are only able to offer interviews to the first 100 applications.
