Program Description
The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program seeks to produce physicians who are experts in the care of hospitalized children with both acute and complex, chronic medical problems. In addition, the program is designed to provide advanced training in adult learning theory and medical education, quality improvement and patient safety, business administration and management, and research fundamentals. The fellowship is a well-balanced, 2-year program that consists of clinical rotations on the inpatient teaching and attending-only services, as well as several elective rotations. Didactic and experiential learning activities are primarily focused on academic and systems topics. Upon completion of training, it is expected that graduates will be prepared to become a productive member and future leader of an academic or community hospital medicine program.
