Skin Tags

Skin tags are common, benign growths that look like small pieces of hanging skin.

They can occur anywhere on the skin, but are particularly prevalent in areas where there is friction, such as in the armpits or groin.

Skin tags tend to occur more frequently as people age, and more than half of all people have skin tags.

Skin tags do not become cancerous if they are not removed; however, they may need to be removed if they are in an area that becomes irritated or if they cause discomfort.
