William H. Hurt

William “Bill” Hurt has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1986. He serves on the Executive,  Finance, Investment and New Hospital Building Committees.

Bill is Chairman of the Board of Capital Strategy Research, Inc.  He joined Capital Guardian Trust Company’s sister organization, Capital Research and Management Company in 1972 where he served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Capital Research Company and as a Director of The Capital Group Companies, Inc.  Prior to joining the Capital Group Companies, Bill was with Dean Witter & Co. for 20 years where he was a Director, Executive Vice President, and Director of Marketing and Research.

Bill graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California and received his MBA from Harvard University.
