Richard D. "Dick" Farman

Richard “Dick” Farman has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2004. He serves on the Executive, Finance and Compensation committees, and is Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Dick is a member of First Families.

He is Chairman Emeritus of Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company. Until his retirement in 2000, Dick was Sempra’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.

Dick graduated from both Stanford University and Stanford Law School.
